Description

With over 130 locations nationwide, BrightStar offices nationwide help keep parents and grandparents in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes, as well as assisting parents with their childcare needs. They can provide every service available at a nursing facility in the comfort of loved one’s home. From companionship, toileting and hygiene assistance to in-home blood draws, their services are available around the clock to meet their clients’ every need.

BrightStar also provides healthcare staffing solutions to businesses on a temporary, temporary to permanent and permanent placement basis. They provide personnel to hospitals, nursing homes, doctors’ offices, labs and anywhere healthcare staff is needed. They also deliver skilled care to patients one on one in their home or wherever they need care through their network of national account partners. National account services range from insurance assessments and IV infusion therapy to home health, in addition to delivering flu clinic services to Corporate, commercial and retail clients.

Training and Support

Four day new owner bootcamp will be spent orienting franchises to their business and giving all of the information needed to open as quickly as possible.

Five day training will cover every aspect of the business from how to find clients, how to answer the phones, talk to potential staff, and the Athena Business System. Their franchisees will choose an operations or sales role in the beginning and then hire the role they do not fill as well as hire a Director of Nursing (part-time in most states depending on licensure requirements) . They are unique in that they do not just make an investment in training for the franchisee but instead train all three roles with separate tracks for each so that the whole team is prepared for what they need to do and how they will function together for optimal results.

Training and support will not just end there, however. They will also provide weekly phone calls initially through the BrightStart team as well as spend at least two visits within the first three months at the new franchise location. They will be there to answer the questions and be of service through a centralized Support Center as well as through the BrightStart Coach initially and with a Regional Director of Field Support thereafter. They are never more than a click, phone call or e-mail away.

Financing Options

From investment to profitability and everything in between, their finance support team serves to see their franchisees through all aspects of financial management, including cashflow, budgeting and financial statements, through financial modeling and operations support.

Another dimension of their franchisee finance support is their relentless desire to identify external lending and financial relationships for their franchisees. BrightStar has aligned with several 3rd party lenders, including SBA, home equity, conventional, and retirement roll-over specialists. In addition, BrightStar’s continued track record of success has earned its inclusion onto the SBA Registry.

A true testament to these efforts: BrightStar is the first franchisor to receive a $6 million credit facility from a new SBA guaranteed lending program created by Franchise America Finance and The Bancorp Bank, providing start-up franchisees entering the BrightStar system, as well as expansion funding for existing franchisees that are ready to expand their businesses.

An acquisition funding program has also been defined for existing franchisees. This capital allows BrightStar franchisees to help stimulate the economy by creating new permanent and sustainable jobs.

The lending program is the first of its kind, providing a collaborative effort between lender and franchisor to set up a predictable model for franchise financing. Specifically created for start-up and expanding franchise businesses, the program is limited to approximately 30 franchise systems with measured performance and experience within their operations. Funding is available for new and existing franchisees who meet predetermined standards set by The Bancorp Bank. Once a BrightStar franchisee, their Director of Finance will work closely to explore financing options.
